When should I book a Mongolia tour?
Festival-season tours (September–October) sell out 6–12 months ahead because Ulaanbaatar–Ölgii flights are limited. Summer trekking is best booked by spring, while winter snow leopard and nomadic life tours stay flexible longer.
What is included in the tour price?
Each tour page lists its exact inclusions — typically local transport, an English-speaking guide, accommodation (hotels, ger camps or homestays) and most meals. International flights are not included.
Can I book a private or customized tour?
Yes. Every tour on this page can run as a private departure, and we build custom itineraries — tell us your dates, interests and fitness level and we will design the trip around them.
How do I get to Ölgii for the western Mongolia tours?
Fly Ulaanbaatar to Ölgii in about 3 hours — seats are limited, so book flights as soon as your tour is confirmed. Overland it is a 2–3 day drive.
Do I need experience for the trekking and climbing tours?
Most treks suit any reasonably fit hiker. The Mount Khuiten climb requires good fitness and basic mountaineering comfort — our guides teach the rest. Horse treks welcome beginners.
Which tour should I choose for the Golden Eagle Festival?
The 8-day Golden Eagle Festival photography tour covers the main festival (October 3–4, 2026) with hunter homestays, while the smaller Sagsai festival in September pairs well with a Tavan Bogd trek.
