When is the best time to travel in Mongolia?

To visit Altai Tavan Bogd national park, it is better to choose the summer season. From June through September, during this period you can hike in base camp and climb to Malchin Peak. Moreover, if you are mountain climber, you can come from May to October when there is more snow . In order to explore nomadic eagle hunter and see a real eagle hunting, the season starts from September to April.  And if you decide to travel at a certain time, you can always let us know about it, and we will send you all possible options, which includes the main highlights of that period.

What about camping equipment?

Our service includes camping and cooking equipment. All equipment is very convenient and suitable for our conditions. We use a kitchen tent where you can have hot tea and warm-up anytime. During the tour, you will have a private tent with mattress and sleeping bags.

You should well equipped for a nature adventure.

What to do in Mongolia?

Our Bayan-Olgii province is famous for the magnificent Altai Mountains and nomadic eagle hunters. Here you can choose a tour by activities like trekking, climbing, horseback, cultural and mixed. Also, you can explore nomadic migrations and archaeological site. You always can let us know about your specific wish and we will do our best to make an ideal tour.

Where to stay?

During the tour, we use a tent which is specified for outdoor camping. Also, we will stay in traditional ger with heating. In the town or city, you will stay at the hotel.

Is there a shower?

Unfortunately, during the tour, we have no opportunity to take a shower. But, as an alternative option, you can wash in the river or lake. Please, first make sure the possibility to swim in the lake from the tour guide.

What is for meal?

With our guided tour, you can enjoy a delicious meal from our expedition chef. Three times meal a day and bottled water. During the trip, you have the opportunity to try different dishes, traditional and international. But you can always ask for a Vegetarian or Halal food.

How about transportation?

Western Mongolia is also famous for bad roads. The mountain nature with rough roads and a river without a bridge. But this is a real adventure. We hire only experienced drivers and use only off road vehicles (SUVs) as Russian UAZ or Japanese Land Cruiser 80 series

Do I need a visa?

Some countries do not need a visa to visit Mongolia. But, if you need a Mongolian visa, you can get it at the Embassy of Mongolia in your country. We will provide an official letter of confirmation for your visa application as soon as you book a travel service with us.

During the trip you will be supported by local experienced guides. The team is consisted with a local English speaking tour guide, experienced driver with off road vehicle, expedition.. How is the weather in Mongolia?

Altai Tavan Bogd National Park is located at a high elevation. The weather in this area changes really fast. In the day time it can be sunny and warm, but when the sun sets it gets cold. We recommend you pack extra clothes to be ready for all types of conditions.
